British Olympic chiefs are to force athletes to sign a contract promising not to speak out about China's appalling human rights record – or face being banned from travelling to Beijing.
The move – which raises the spectre of the order given to the England football team to give a Nazi salute in Berlin in 1938 – immediately provoked a storm of protest.
The controversial clause has been inserted into athletes' contracts for the first time and forbids them from making any political comment about countries staging the Olympic Games.

hahaha,ok, you foreigners are too serious of this. I am a chinese,and even i can criticise some human right problems in china if i do not publish that on news paper. so, don't worry, you can say anything you want with your friends in china,but just don't make it a big news on tv,and you will find that chinese people will be interested in this topic and will be eager to persuade you that the real situation in china is much better than you believe.haha. you can really not compare CCP to Nazis, they are really different, although CCP has done many bad things.
Fair enough. I just posted this because people in this country love to say that US Government is "fascist". I don't recall such controls on free speech when the Olympics were held in the US.
